“I started taking both piano and vocal lessons with Asha in January of 2014. It’s obvious that Asha really enjoys the work she does, and her enthusiasm shows during our lessons. Asha has worked very hard to help me progress my abilities as a singer and a pianist. In March of this year she held a piano recital at a church, which many of her students attended. Asha encouraged me (and all her students) to participate in that event, and I did. I had so much fun at the piano recital that I recently started going to open mic events, where I have the opportunity to sing and play piano in front of a crowd. "We have felt so fortunate to have Asha as a piano teacher for our son. She has a calm, pleasant demeanor and yet sets clear goals and expectations for her students.She gives detailed instructions, along with incentives, regarding daily practice so that what is involved is clear to the student and helpful to the parents. As parents with some music background it is exciting to watch our son enjoy learning the basics ( notes, timing, counting out loud, scales and theory) and learning them well.
